As we continue this new season in the life of our church, we invite you to join in something deeply meaningful and spiritually unifying — 40 Days of Prayer and Biblical Reading. We are embarking on a churchwide journey to seek God’s heart as we prepare to appoint a pastoral search committee and ultimately call the next pastor He has chosen for West Lumberton Baptist Church. This is more than a devotional — it’s a call to consecration. A time for us to humble ourselves, pray, seek God’s face, and trust that He will lead us in His perfect timing. As 2 Chronicles 7:14 reminds us:

“If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”

How You Can Participate:

  • Commit to spending time daily with the Lord in prayer and Scripture
  • Pray specifically for the pastoral search committee and for the man God is preparing
  • Ask God to work in your own heart and in the heart of our church family

This is a sacred moment in the life of our church. Let’s not rush it — let’s pray through it. I believe God is going to do something powerful in our midst as we seek Him together.  Attached is a copy of the outline for the 40 days.   Let’s begin this journey united in spirit, humbled in heart, and expectant in faith.
